RS485 port
A cable connection is possible for these units. However, we do not make a cable for this unit. Thus, you would have to check the manual of the inverter to get the RS485 pin configuration and crimp an uncrimped RS485 cable. From our experience, RS485A goes to pin 5 and RS485B goes to pin 4 on an RJ45 plug as specified in the manual. We do understand that it is often faster and easier to get a cable locally, so make sure you read this article for the communication chips we would recommend.
If you buy any random USB RS485 RJ45 cable on Amazon, Ebay, Takealot, etc, that doesn't specifically state that it supports the Solis inverter, it will most likely not work.
Steps in SolarAssistant
On the SolarAssistant configuration page, select "Solis" as your inverter model. Select the USB port where your inverter is connected. If you have multiple inverters, you need to multi-select multiple USB ports.

Parallel installations
With Solis inverters you will need to connect each inverter with its own cable.
